About Me
About Hazel Towns
Hi, I’m Hazel Towns, a qualified Dog Trainer and Clinical Animal Behaviourist based in Lincolnshire. I’m passionate about helping dogs and their people build stronger, happier relationships through understanding, compassion, and science-based training. I am pre-certified as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the CCAB. I am also a Candidate Member of The Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians.
I hold a Distinction standard Master’s degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour and a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from the University of Lincoln, one of the UK’s leading institutions for animal behaviour science, ensuring that my work meets the highest professional and ethical standards.
I gained hands-on experience working as a canine behaviourist at one the UK’s largest dog rescue charities, where I worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and behavioural backgrounds. From tiny Chihuahuas to giant Anatolian Shepherds, I supported dogs with complex behavioural needs, developed tailored training plans, and coached staff and volunteers in safe, effective handling and training techniques.
My approach is rooted in evidence-based, welfare-friendly methods that focus on improving communication, confidence, and trust between dogs and their owners. Whether you’re struggling with behavioural issues such as reactivity, fear, aggression, or frustration (or you simply want to improve your training and enjoy life with your dog) I can help you find positive, practical solutions that work for both of you.
I take pride in offering a kind, supportive, and non-judgemental service to every client. I understand that every dog is unique — and every owner deserves patient, practical guidance. My goal is always to make training clear, achievable, and enjoyable for both ends of the lead.
